Private Owner Wagon Custom Decal Design Package

Bring your private owner wagon to life with a bespoke set of waterslide decals designed specifically for your model. I can either replicate a historic wagon style (using your reference photos) or create something fully personalised to your own fictional company, line, or era.

What you’ll receive
- A custom decal layout designed to fit your wagon side
- A digital proof for approval before anything is printed
- Printed on clear-backed waterslide decal paper using UV-resistant inks and sealed with varnish protection.

This package covers 1 wagon (both sides).
If you require additional wagons with the same design but different running numbers, please email me with:
how many extra wagons you need, and
the list of running numbers
Additional wagons are charged individually at £12 per wagon. I’ll confirm the total and send an invoice for the extra wagons before printing.

What I need from you (important)
To make sure the lettering and running numbers fit your wagon properly, please include the following measurements:

- Wagon side width (the usable width where the lettering will sit)
- Wagon side height (the usable height where the lettering will sit)
- Plank height (height of a single plank on the wagon side)

If you’re not sure how to measure, a quick photo with a ruler in shot is also helpful.

Historic replica or fully personalised

Mimicking a historic wagon
If you’d like your wagon to match a real historic example, I’ll need clear photographs (or scans) showing:
- The lettering style and layout
- Any running numbers and their placement
- Any shading, lining, borders, or special marks

The better the references, the more accurately I can recreate the character of the original.

Fully personalised design
If you’d rather create your own private owner identity, just tell me:
- The owner/company name (exact spelling)
- Running number
- Any location/works details (if you want them)
- The era/region you’re aiming for (if you have one in mind)

Lettering options (including shading)
If you choose lettering with shading, please tell me:
- The main lettering colour
- The shading colour

Proofing & revisions
I’ll send you a digital proof to check spelling, sizing, and layout before printing. Up to 2 rounds of tweaks are included; after that I may need to charge for further changes.

Lead time
Lead time depends on current workload and the quality of reference material supplied. If you have a deadline, leave a note at checkout and I’ll confirm what’s possible.

Please note (custom work policy)
Because this is bespoke design work made to order, refunds aren’t available once the design process has started. If there’s a physical print issue, please contact me within 14 days of delivery and I’ll do my best to put it right.

Printed decals will not contain a watermark.
